WWII Game: New Buckenham Historical Wargames Club

Hello There! A brief  break from work has allowed me to add to the blog again!

Here are a few photos from a game I took part in, recently at the New Buckenham Historical Wargames Club.

This was a 15mm WWII game set in Normandy. The German forces were deployed on a map and the attacking Allies used a number of blinds to mast their deployment.

Unfortunately I did not make a note of the rules used but they were easy to pick up and not convoluted.

The Allies moved from the top of the picture here with the German defenders in the tree line and to the left and right of the woods.

here is an overview of the table with the Germans deployed just off the top of the picture.

This command bunker was a nice addition.

The figures were all from the umpires collection with some lovely little groups such as this medical tent.

The required dead cows and wrecked tank was also in attendance!

This was fought in a relatively small 8' x 4' table but there was still plenty to do and the chance to try and winkle out the defenders and try to work round the flanks as well.

Overall a very enjoyable evening.

  1. Nice eye candy. It looks like the rules used were the Too Fat Lardies 'I Ain't Been Shot, Mum.'
